Overview

The ManiaCDN is a set of mirrors provided by the community in order to provide a stable cluster of servers to for static content. The benefits of using a CDN is huge! Because the network will always select the server that is closest to the client. The picture bellow explains how transforming to a CDN will look like when trying to access the file's.

On the left side you see a normal client to server connection. On the right side you see a CDN network with different servers on multiple sites with clients that choose the closest server.

Why use it?

Simply, it's faster, no more quota limits, more stable and even free for community purposes!

Content

Contents of the CDN is managed by Askuri. We made a tool so everyone could upload content to the CDN. You have to login with your ManiaPlanet login to upload, and the files will be checked manually before accepted and distributed on the network!

Management

Servers are automaticly being updated with the newest files distributed over the network. We also check every so often if the servers are still updating and will directly suspend it when it's providing old content.

About the CDN

We are Askuri and Toffe. Together we lead this project to the best way you could think. We think we should be active for a lifetime!
Bit sarcasm, but ye, as we get users that rely on us we need to stay up! We take this really serious!.

Toffe is working on the technical dns stuff and the website.
Askuri is the one that maintains the master repo and will constant work on the content itself.

We are working with Open Source at most of the mirros, atleast our master repo and even this site and checking logic is open sourced! (by ourself!).
